We are proud to announce we are a member of new property website OnTheMarket.com, which launches today. The website is an online property portal owned and managed by estate agents. It is streets away from Zoopla and Rightmove because its independent members are committed to providing an outstanding and convenient service to customers without the hefty bill.

Joining this service will allow us to advertise our range of rental and for sale properties based across South Wales, giving subscribers an exclusive preview before they are shared on our other partner sites. If that doesn’t sound appealing enough, there are also no adverts or spam, meaning customers can explore reams of homes hassle-free.

Q. From the point of view of a buyer or renter, what does the new portal offer that existing portals do not?

A. OnTheMarket gives customers exclusive access to thousands of properties, unavailable on other leading portals such as Zoopla and Rightmove.

It also reveals many homes up to 48 hours before they are advertised anywhere else, offering the most up-to-date property listings. The site doesn’t include adverts so searching for a property will be easier and more enjoyable for house hunters.

Q. Why do the agents who join have to drop one of the other competing portals?

A. The launch of OnTheMarket.com challenges websites such as Rightmove and Zoopla. In order for a new start-up to enter the market and become established, its member agents commit to list with OnTheMarket.com and a maximum of one other portal.

Q. Will this mean sellers do not get the best price for their home because it may have lower exposure?

A. Many of the properties that are advertised at the highest price are actually those that are marketed in a very discreet way to targeted audiences. OnTheMarket.com believes that early-bird listings will attract serious property seekers who want to gain an edge over other buyers or tenants.

A. Most of the members will continue to advertise on one of the current leading portals so exposure still remains high. Agents will be choosing to retain the portal they believe offers the best value in terms of generating high volumes of quality leads.
